While the world was waiting for Samsung to announce its foldable phone, Xiaomos co-founder Lin Bin celebrated their own version of a foldable phone, just over a month before Samsung's official release. Since then, we've seen Galaxy Fold and Huawei's Mate X as the only two options when it comes to foldable phones. Early on Thursday, a new video with Xiaomom's unnamed foldable phone was released on Weibo.

Xiaomi runs foldable phones race
Xiaomi has not disclosed any information about the possible features or specifications. Through the new video, we now know that the company will implement gesture-based input, which is how users will interact with the large tablet size display. Unlike the other two phones, we have seen both sides of Xiaomom's foldable baskets inward, which is why the curls lie on the sides.
We have a couple of reports that suggest that Galaxy Fold has some issues re-generating pages in Chrome when it is folded and unfolded. Even then, it is possible for Samsung to roll out software updates that address the issues.
It is expected that Xiaomi will launch its foldable phone at about $ 1,000 mark, which is half of what Galaxy Fold and Mate X charges. If it's going to be true, Xiaomi would go into foldable smartphones and their might be the most affordable solution out there.
