MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Wisconsin became thirteenth in the country for best air quality, but some residents think Badger State is a bit smelly.
A survey from the Dehumidifier District of 3,000 Americans across the country showed that Wisconsin became number two for the stinkiest state or had the strangest smell.
The public seems to think that Wisconsin smells of blue cheese, which makes sense considering that Wisconsin is America’s dairy country. New York first ranked for being the stinkiest, with Americans reporting that the state smells like chicken wings and garbage.
The study cites that Wisconsin had an air quality index (AQI) of 39.5, which places it in the top 20 states with the cleanest air. Hawaii ranked number one with an AQI of 21
