Emily and Paris plays award-winning actors Lily Collins and Ashley Park. But it also has a new face that viewers are curious about. Here’s what we know about Lucas Bravo, the actor who plays Gabriel in the new Netflix series.
Who’s Lucas Bravo?
Bravo is a French actor who is relatively new to Hollywood. He started his career as a model. And eventually he found himself small roles on French TV series like Under the Saint-Tropez sun and More beautiful life.
The Paris-based actor also appeared in several short films, including Open relationship, Capriceand Beautiful damage. The actor plays André Fauvel in the upcoming film Mrs. Harris is going to Paris opposite Warrior well‘s Alba Baptista and Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs.

Lucas Bravo plays Gabriel in ‘Emily In Paris’
In Netflix Emily and Paris, Takes Bravo against Gabriel, a Parisian chef interested in recently importing Emily Cooper (Lily Collins). In an interview with Manny the Movie Guy, the actor talked about what drew him to the role.
“I just tried,” he explained. And just working with (director) Darren Star to begin with, [he’s] such an icon. Being able to have this American perspective while working in my hometown. And just Lily Collins, Patricia Fields and all the icons that would just bring me one step closer to what this industry is to me. ”
The actor noted that the chemistry between the cast that the audience sees on screen was genuine. He said the actors mostly ended up having a ball on set.
“It’s about fun at the end of the day, and that was exactly what it was,” Bravo said. “I came to put, and we all had such a chemistry that it made this experience exactly what I expected when I started this.”
What does he think of his role in ‘Emily In Paris’?
When talking about Emily and Paris, Revealed Bravo how layered his character, Gabriel, really is.
“I think he has that time in his life where he’s a little crazy,” he told Manny the Movie Guy. “He wants to do it on his own. He does not want any help, and at the same time he has responsibilities and he feels a little impressed by Camille. ”
He also revealed that he has a significant resemblance to his character. Bravo knows his way around a kitchen, and he did some of the cooking Gabriel does on screen.
“I used to be a sous-chef at a restaurant a few years ago,” the actor remarked. “So when I first got the scripts, I was like, ‘Oh, wow, this is definitely for me, I’ll definitely use these skills.’ And then they got me to make the omelettes I made for Emily in the show. ”
In the end, Bravo suggested that it was quite accurate when addressing the criticism the series receives for its depiction of French culture. He noted that the creator of the show, Darren Star, lived in France for years and was familiar with its language and everyday life.
“It’s true, you know,” Bravo explained. “Darren experienced it because he previously lived in Paris and he speaks French. And then it’s not just a guess from an American perspective. It’s from someone who actually lived it. So I really like the fact that he found all the little points there [sometimes even we] can not see because we are inside it. ”
Emily and Paris premieres on Netflix on October 2nd.
