This story is part of Apple event, our full coverage of the latest news from Apple̵

7;s headquarters.

This fall, Apple’s new service package Apple One brings together various combinations of subscriptions, including Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, Apple News Plus, storage service iCloud and the newly unveiled Apple Fitness Plus under one price. The move, announced at Apple’s online event on Tuesday, follows Apple’s increased investment in services over the past three years. Here’s everything you need to know about Apple One, including costs, free trials, the various plans and services available, and subscribing saves you money.

What is Apple One?

Apple One is a subscription service that brings together Apple’s existing services so you can pay a monthly price to get multiple services at once. It’s somewhat similar to Amazon’s Prime set of services. You do not need to subscribe to Apple One to access these services – if the only one you are interested in, says Apple TV Plus, you can just continue to pay $ 4.99 per. Month as normal for that alone.

When will Apple One be available?

Apple One will launch sometime this fall, according to Apple executives, but we do not know the exact date yet.

How much does Apple One cost? Is there a free trial?

Apple One offers three different plans (see below) that range in price from $ 14.95 a month to $ 29.95 a month. There is a 30-day free trial available.

What do the various Apple One plans include?

The three plans differ in terms of the number of services, the number of people who can access them, and the amount of iCloud storage space offered. How they break down:

  • Individual plan: $ 14.95 (£ 14.95, AU $ 19.95) per month for four services per person: Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade and iCloud (50 gigabytes of storage)
  • Family plan: $ 19.95 (£ 19.95, AU $ 25.95) for four services for six family members: Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade and iCloud (200 GB storage)
  • Foreground: $ 29.95 (£ 29.95, AU $ 39.95) for six services for six family members: Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, iCloud (2 terabytes of storage), Apple News Plus and Apple Fitness Plus (in the 100 countries and regions where they are available)

What does each service involve?

Here’s what you get with each service available in the Apple One bundles and how much they cost individually in the US:

Apple Music: Apple’s music streaming service alternative to Spotify includes 70 million songs from popular artists without commercials.

Self-employed costs: $ 9.99 per person Month individually; $ 14.99 per month family.

Apple TV Plus: Apple’s movie and TV streaming service now has 30 original shows, including comedies, dramas, documentaries and talk shows.

Self-catering costs: $ 4.99 per person Month.

Self-employed costs: $ 9.99 per person Month.

Apple’s Fitness Plus workout streaming service launches later this year.

Do I save money by subscribing to Apple One?

It depends on how many of the above services you are already subscribing to (or want to subscribe to). If you had to subscribe to all of them individually, you would pay at least $ 40 a month, so even the Premier plan would be worth it.

According to Apple, the Apple One Individual plan offers a savings of over $ 6 per. Month compared to standard monthly rates, while the Family plan provides a savings of over $ 8 per month. Month, and the Premier plan offers a savings of over $ 25 per month. Month or up to $ 300 per year.

The service that perhaps interests people the most is the least flashy: the iCloud photo and backup service. It is already a popular service that is practically required for anyone who saves photos, videos or music downloads. If you are already paying $ 9.99 per. Month for 2 TB of iCloud storage and also subscribing to, for example, Apple Music, the Premier plan may be worth getting you both them and the rest.
