Now that some secrets in the Biden family business are no longer secrets, it’s easy to imagine Joe Biden asking the same question that Robert Redford asked in the 1972 film “The Candidate.” After winning a Senate race he did not expect to win, Redford turned to his trader and wondered, “What do we do now?”
That’s the end of the movie, but the story of Bidens has just begun. What Joe Biden needs to do now is start telling the truth. The whole truth.
Until now, the Democratic presidential candidate has been released with the fiction that he has never spoken to his son Hunter about Hunter’s suspected business dealings in Ukraine, China and elsewhere. The repeated claim was never credible, especially when it was revealed that Hunter flew on Air Force Two with his father to Beijing and came home with a $ 1
So they flew to China and together again, and we must believe that the father never asked the son who he saw in China and why.
Come on, man.
The Joe-knows-nothing defense has now been exposed as a lie by The Post’s publication of the email from a Ukrainian adviser to Burisma, the energy company that put Hunter on the board for up to $ 83,000 a month. In the email, Vadym Pozharskyi thanked Hunter for setting up a meeting with then-Vice President Biden.
“Thank you for inviting me to DC and giving the opportunity to meet your father and used [sic] some time together, ”reads the announcement from 17 April 2015.
Joe Biden aides do not dispute the email or deny that the two men met. Their only defense is that there was no such meeting on the Vice President’s official schedule. It’s a loophole big enough to drive a truck through.
So Joe knew a lot, and the public deserves the truth about what he did to help his son make money in the vice presidency. Still, my sense of where this story is going in the next few days is that the Ukraine angle will not be the main focus.
China will be. If the new pieces of the puzzle fit together, as has been suggested, Americans will learn that the whole family made money in Joe Biden’s prominent place, including Joe himself, by making deals with elements of the Chinese government.
Once again, The Post was the first to open the door, this time by publishing the email that showed that Hunter and Jim Biden, Joe’s brother, were part of a group trying to establish a partnership with Chinese individuals , which involved energy projects and perhaps US infrastructure. Millions of dollars were discussed, making the deal a storm for Bidens and a propaganda coup for China.
The email, which was sent from one of the U.S. partners to Hunter and two others, detailed large cash payments to the partners as well as any equity. Hunter, designated as “H”, was to get 20 percent, and the deal listed “10 Jim” and “10 contained by H for the big guy?”
Sources have confirmed to Fox News that the “big guy” was Joe Biden. I have been told by another person with knowledge of the event that there are documents and other evidence of Joe Biden’s commitment.
If that was true, Joe did not just know about this deal. He was on it – up to the eyeballs.
One possible defense is that the email was dated May 13, 2017, five months after he left the office, and that he was therefore free to make such arrangements. There are two problems with this argument.
First, I hear earlier emails where discussions with individuals in China began much earlier while Joe Biden was still vice president. They could at least reveal a serious conflict of interest.
Second, the mere fact that Biden intended to make money by working with China after leaving the White House is an explosive campaign issue. For good reason, the vast majority of Americans hold an unfavorable view of China and are likely to punish a candidate who tried to do business with the Communist government.
With the ballot ticking down, the stakes could not be higher. Still, Biden failed the first test of how he will handle the scandal.
Asked Friday by a CBS reporter to respond to The Post’s reports, the Democrat called it a “smear campaign” and donated the reporter to ask the question.
It does not work. Good journalists will not be intimidated and voters are likely to smell a rat if he is not willing to answer legitimate questions.
Now Biden needs to know that there are no such things as stupid questions, only stupid answers.
In addition, President Trump is sure to accuse Biden of violent corruption during Thursday’s debate, so you need a better explanation, otherwise the problem could go away in a few days.
The development is also a test for Big Media and Big Tech companies running a Biden protection racket. Facebook and Twitter blocked users from sharing The Post’s initial reports, a monstrous example of political interference. For their efforts, companies were rewarded with congressional conventions to testify this week.
CNN, the New York Times and the television networks are trying to help Biden by ignoring the story or cracking it down. Washington Post columnist David Ignatius drove for the defense on Saturday, offering the eerie notion that the Burisma narrative “is not a scandal, but part of a personal tragedy for the vice president’s son, amplified by this week’s dissemination of what looks like disinformation. about Joe Biden’s role. ”
It is true that Hunter Biden’s drug-addicted life is worthy of sympathy, but it does not exempt him from removing his father’s government power, and certainly does not absolve his father if he violated his office and public trust.
As for Ignatius’ claim for misinformation, it would undoubtedly be Russian misinformation. It’s all just Vladimir Putin trying to help his top US agent, Donald Trump, right?
That was Deep State’s line in 2016, and it worked so well back then. Just ask President Hillary Clinton.
Blasio’s free ride is over
The decision by the city’s first lady, Chirlane McCray, that she will not run for president in Brooklyn, is bad news for Mayor de Blasio. Now the family is off the government payroll, January 2022, and both will have to get real jobs. That should be interesting.
De Blasio certainly gave his wife every opportunity. He set up ThriveNYC, a poorly defined mental health agency, for her to showcase her talents, and she responded by blowing through $ 1 billion with little to show for it. Can taxpayers get a refund?
Love? You can kiss it goodbye!
From Breitbart News: “A couple in the northern Italian city of Milan have been fined 400 euros by police after kissing each other in public and violating Wuhan virus regulations.”
No kiss in Italy? The world has gone into distress.
