Warren Buffett converts some of his Berkshire Hathaway Inc. shares for B shares to donate to five funds, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Billions of investors convert 11,250 of the A shares into 16,875,000 B shares. Of the total, 16,811,941 shares with a present value of approx. 3.6 billion Kr. Donate to the five foundations, the other four being the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, the Sherwood Foundation Howard G. Buffett Foundation and the NoVo Foundation. Berkshire said in a statement that Buffett had never sold any of its shares in the company, but with this donation, he donated 45% of his 2006 holdings with a total value of $ 34 billion.
