Today, Seattle-based studio Announced Polyarc Moss: Bog II, which gives fans even more reason to fall in love with this stupid little rodent.
In early 2018, Polyarc released Moss, a delightful virtual reality game about an adventurous mouse named Quill and her mysterious menacing human companion (you) who solves puzzles and fights bugs to save Quill’s uncle. It turns out that fairy tales were only book I. I say stupid little rodent with nothing but love. The original Moss is a nice frolic ring whose popularity is due to how well a job the developers did to make the mouse Quill feel like a real companion. As a player, you are a strong presence that hovers over Quill’s world and guides her along her quest and helps whenever you can. Quill knows you’re there, and even if you make her move with your PlayStation controller, she’s responding to your actions. Lean close and she leans in too and maybe waves. She uses her hands and the rudimentary sign language at times to teach you to solve puzzles. If she e.g. Need to walk around an obstacle, she will mimic that action with the fingers of the palm.

The point is, Quill is cute and I love her. And she comes in again Moss: Bog II. Due only to PlayStation VR on a date not yet revealed, Moss: Bog II continues where the previous game ended. Quill is pursued through the castle, where she found her uncle in the first game, but she has big plans to break out, defeat the evil Arcane once and for all, and save the world from the great unmaking, which sounds pretty bad. At some point in the game, Quill meets a rabbit, which is probably why I pre-order the game right now.
“We were blown away by reception from fans to Moss history. Players built an extraordinary bond with Quill. Countless emails, tweets, streams and fan art posts made us feel like we had created something special, ”said Josh Stiksma, chief software engineer and design director for Polyarc via official announcement. “We have since poured our hearts to ensure Book II is a worthy sequel to Quill’s journey, and hopes fans around the world are ready to join Quill in the next chapter of her story. ”
Are you ready to join Quill in the next chapter? I’m determined. Just watch this trailer. I spoke to Josh Stiksma of Polyarc earlier today about the announcement and he assured me that players previously associated with Quill will find that the band grows deeper as they experience the joy, excitement and heartache of this new chapter. Let’s not hope. The damn mouse and I almost got married last time.
