SUMMMERLIN, Nev. –
A Nevada boy fighting for cancer makes a public charge when someone has stolen his chemotherapy drug right at his porch.
Home surveillance shows a man tearing two packages from his front door in Summerlin.
Gage Haynes, 14, told KLAS TV, he takes eight pills called Ryedapt every day.
"I have systemic mastocytosis. It is a rare form of cancer and it has just happened all my life so I'm used to it," Haynes said. "Now we've finally found a way to help, my whole life has really been something," Haynes said.
Haynes was diagnosed when he was only 6 months old. Since then, his mother says he's been in and out of the hospital.
"I worked really hard to try to get him there. I did financially because it cost $ 40,000 a month because it's not the FDA approved for anyone under the age of 1
Haynes says he just wants the medicine back.
"It helps me very much. I would feel much better so I can go to school, get good grades, get a job. So please return it," he said.
