I almost can't believe Celeste is about to be a year old, but here we are with the birthday of two weeks away. Matt Thorson, game designer, director and author; has already made it known that the game was set to get an extra DLC chapter, and today there is some additional details via Twitter:
Some Celeste DLC chapter details:
-It's not ready for the anniversary it Jan 25th, sorry!
-It's all a continuous chapter, no B-Side
-It is after the current hardest levels in difficulty
-There are some new things / mechanics
] ̵1; Free on all platforms

Firstly, DLC will unfortunately not do it in time for the game's anniversary. Nor will there be a set of B-Side phases for that either, although this continuous chapter is said to be even harder than the current hardest levels, balancing this problem well enough. There will also be no strawberries to gather (pamper pause enthusiasts), but there will be new things and mechanics when it comes to platforming.
However, the best news about everything is that this will be free for all platforms. So, if you've taken the mountain to Switch or otherwise, you'll be set to scale these upcoming stages as they emerge in the future. It means some time to practice and really put your heart into the game, which we still more than recommended a whole year later.
