ORLAND PARK, IL – Two people have been shot, one critical, at Orland Square Mall, police said. Sagittarius is still big.
A 19-year-old man was shot in the center court and ran east, collapsing near the H&M store, said policeman Tim McCarthy in Orland Park.
There is no word anyway on the other victim.
The shooting occurred at. 18.45 at the shopping center at 151 Street and La Grange Road. Police said the details are not yet clear, but added that they believe the shooting was targeted and not random.
Shooting in the area is rare, McCarthy added.
"We haven't had anything like this ever happened at Orland Square Mall. I think it could be the first shooting we've ever had there."
Witnesses of social media reported seeing customers run out for the mall and checked in to say they were safe. Others wrote video and pictures of what they experienced about social media.
Kl. 20, the police began to evacuate customers and employees from the shopping center.
