Personal medical examinations take place over the weekend for NFL draft prospects, and nearly 150 potential students are already in Indianapolis and will be checked and scanned before the draft on April 29th.
One person, however, will not join them: probably No. 1 chooses Trevor Lawrence. The Clemson quarterback underwent surgery in February to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, so while it may seem strange that he lacks medical examinations that could reveal how his surgically repaired shoulder heals, he has a really good reason to be absent. According to NFL Networks Ian Rapoport, he is getting married to his girlfriend Marissa Mowry this weekend.
Lawrence and Mowry have been engaged since July 2020, when he proposed to her on the pitch at Clemsons Memorial Stadium.
Congratulations and congratulations to Trevor and Marissa. Spending a Saturday getting married to the love of your life sounds infinitely more fun than having physique with 150 other draft perspectives.
