Tonight is colder than temperatures drop into the single digits for some locations. The wind becomes light after midnight with a clear to cloudy sky above.

Sleet and freezing rain is more likely south and east of a line from Cedar Rapids to Dubuque Tuesday afternoon and evening. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect during this time.

In the advisory area, a 0.10 ”of ice is possible. Areas north and west of the above mentioned line should expect a wintry mix of freezing rain / sleet / snow. Around 1 "of snow is possible with any ice to be less than 0.10". Roads will be slick in the afternoon and evening. Allow extra travel time and drive slow on the roads if you are going to travel.
