Developer Toys for Bob has announced on Twitter that it now supports the development of Call of Duty: Warzone – Season 3.
While this may not seem like all that matters, a number of team members who worked on Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon games have confirmed that they have left the developer.
Although it has been mentioned how some employees were “let loose”, a former employee claims that everyone who has resigned is on good terms. Either way, it looks like Activision could move on from Crash and Spyro for now.
Crash Bandicoot 4The sale reportedly did not live up to Activision’s expectations, so the news that Toys for Bob was redistributed does not come as a complete surprise. The same study was also responsible for Spyro Reignited Trilogy, the power switch on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Skylanders series.
Colleague Activision developer Vicarious Visions – the team behind the recent one Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 + 2 remaster – was recently merged into Blizzard and is now helping with the upcoming release Diablo II: Resurrected. And Beenox (Crash N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled) also helps with Call of Duty.
If we hear any development, we will be sure to let you know. What do you think of Activision, which focuses all its attention on Call of Duty? Leave a comment below.
