Avengers: Endgame was released in April 2019 and quickly became one of the greatest films all the time. With all the biggest stars in Marvel Universe joining to create a story that was immediately dramatic, fun, action-packed, and heartbreaking, it's no wonder it shot to the top of box-office charts and earned millions of dollars.
Even more inspiring than the on-screen action are the touching back-scenes stories that the cast has slowly revealed over the past few months. Tom Holland, MCU's Peter Parker, had a particularly good story, which he recently revealed on the press tour of Spider-Man: Far From Home .
Avengers: Endgame & # 39; was a very secret project
Avengers: Endgame is a great handover in Marvel's Phase 3 story, which binds the tale of Thanos and Infinity Stones. It is also the last film that has the Earth's strongest heroes, all over again for a last great adventure. With big movie stars such as Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland and Scarlett Johansson on board, the project had to be huge from the beginning.
The exact story was kept under cover, and while fans wondered what the movie could be about, there were a number of surprises waiting for the film to finally open on April 26.
The biggest shocks were determined to pass Iron Man. Tony Stark, the genius billionaire who was a favorite for many, gave his own life to make sure Thanos and his villainous counterparts don't ever make a comeback. The emotional scene is considered by many to be the heart of the movie, and one that, according to Tom Holland, was the scene that required the least amount of advance planning.
Robert Downey, Jr.'s Big Scene in & # 39; Avengers: Endgame was improvised
In a recent interview, the Netherlands revealed that Marvel executives gave the actors involved in Tony Stark's death scene total creative freedom. The Netherlands said the actors were brought to the scene and told what was going to happen in the scene, and then the actors, including the Netherlands, were allowed to improvise. The Netherlands continued to say, "It was a really interesting way to shoot such a pivotal scene, but it was great and the scene turned out to be great."
Needless to say, Holland is correct. Since its release, Avengers: Endgame has received incredibly positive reviews, with critics and fans praising the creative direction of the movie and the way the actors dealt with great emotional moments as well as action-packed struggles.
What's next for Marvel Cinematic Universe?
At the end of phase 3, Marvel Studios has focused on phase 4, which has not yet been officially designated. The only movie that has been confirmed so far is the upcoming Spider-Man: Far from Home which will be released in July, although it is technically still part of phase 3.
One recent leak suggests a few of the movies that fans might be able to anticipate over the next few years, including Guardians of the Galaxy 3 a solitary one-sided movie from Black Widow Black Panther 2 ] Doctor Strange 2 and another Thor movie.
Although these titles have not been confirmed by Marvel, it seems very likely that at least some of these films will end up materializing, especially considering that many of the established characters had revealed stories in Avengers : Endgame . Whatever the future holds for the beloved Avengers, it seems likely that fans will continue to see Endgame as a great example of superhero storytelling.
As for Tom Holland, fans can see him reproduce his role as Spider-Man when Spider-Man: Far from Home hits theaters on July 2.
