MANKATO, Minn. – Authorities in Minnesota say a 2-year-old child is OK after they have tumbled from the rear seat of a moving vehicle while still attached to a car seat.
Dashcam video was taken at the moment the car seat and child rolled out of the vehicle Monday when the vehicle turned a corner on a street in Mankato. Witness Chad Mock drove behind the car. He stopped his vehicle and ran to the baby's help.
Police and paramedics responded and controlled the child for injuries. Officials say the baby's mother was driving the car. Mock tells KMSP-TV, a woman later went back to get the child.
Police say the child was properly attached to the car seat, but the car seat was not attached to the seat of the vehicle.
