The Supreme Court lets Virginia vote further under redrawn cards

WASHINGTON (AP) – Voters choose lawmakers for the Virginia House of Delegates using a card considered favorable to Democrats during a ruling by the Supreme Court.

Monday's 5-4 decision on Monday might be telegraphed by the fact that they had previously allowed election planning to proceed with the card. Virginia held his primary last week.

Republicans control Parliament with a slender 51-49 margin. The Republican House had called on the Supreme Court to allow the state to use a polling card which was previously overthrown by a lower court as a mistaken factoring race in the drawing of some districts.

This is the last time the state will use the map to choose lawmakers for Parliament because this map must be rebuilt after the 2020 census results.
