The Pentagon’s watchdog opens a new probe into the military’s handling of UFOs

The Pentagon’s inspector general is looking at the actions the military has taken to counter UFO sightings in recent years involving high – performance aircraft that have violated military airspace.

The probe comes as Congress awaits a public report due next month from a number of national security agencies on the subject, and as lawyers complain that some departments and agencies are not cooperating fully to share data.

“The purpose of this evaluation is to determine the extent to which the DoD has taken action on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs,”

; wrote Randolph Stone, Assistant Inspector for Space, Intelligence, Engineering, and Surveillance Evaluations in a Monday note to military leaders and other top military leaders and intelligence leaders.
