The masked singer returned to his third week on Wednesday night and brought back some of the costumed contestants we have previously met for new rounds of musical face-offs, as well as special guest judges Joel McHale! Last week, Fox & # 39; s hit reality song contest introduced the last set of six secret singers that allow fans to play detective with new tracks and more outlandish guesses from the show's celebrity team lists – Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong.
We also got the chance to find out the secret identity of another of the performing artists when pineapple was masked and revealed to be comedian Tommy Chong! The Up in Smoke star was hired by Antonio Brown in the list of unmanned competitors after the NFL pro was revealed at the end of the show's premiere episode.
ET sees the whole show live and keping fans updated with all the best, most weird and most enchanting moments from the third heated week of the wild competition.
The monster seems to stump the judges
The monster sang a fantastic cover by Gavin DeGraws "I Don't Want To Be" and while still sounding like Saturday Night Live s Kenan Thompson, we're absolutely sure it's not.
Robin loved the show, especially the attempt at large high notes, and suggests Nelly.
But Monster hit a curve ball when he revealed a new track and shared, "I like to keep my head in the game."
Suddenly the guesses turned to athletes, and Robin says it could be Derek Jeter.
To be honest, after these new tracks, we have no idea who The Monster could be.
The Monster – New Clues
– Says he drove up from the south in his "Caddy."
– Has a money gun. 19659002] – "I'm back in things."
– There's something New Year's Eve.
– "It's going to be fire!"
The judges have many thoughts about The Unicorn
The Unicorn sang "Ups! … I did it again" and the judges were as cozy as possible, with Jenny calling it "magical" and Robin calls it "sweet and gentle." But not good, exactly.
Robin thinks it's a model, and Nicole suggests it's Denise Richards (because she said she "lost her Sheen").
Then they all started guessing Olympic gymnasts (due to "gold" clue) and coming up with Gabby Douglas, Mary Lou Retton and McKayla Maroney.
While we still think that it can be Tori Spelling, Denise Richards gives much meaning, and we are serious about it.
added clue came when the judges asked if she is a gymnast and she just said "in the bedroom!"
Unicorn – New Clues!
– "Lost my trust" and she says she lost her "shine."
– "Tonight I go for the gold."
– "No one can ever crush this unicorn's spirit again."
There's not much more going on than the last time, unfortunately.
The peacock impresses the panel
The peacock again wowed the panel with a performance of OneRepublic's "Coun ting Stars" and really made the judges guess wild.
Nicole said that Peacock should be a "born performer" but then followed it with a suggestion that it is David Hasselhoff.
Joel ended up guessing it Neil Patrick Harris, and Robin again suggests he is a magician, perhaps David Copperfield. He also said it could be an old-fashioned singer like Tom Jones.
The peacock confirmed that he has done in Las Vegas, but again it is almost certainly Donny Osmond.
– "I loved being able to do without knowing who I was."
– "I've had so many different incarnations of my career and everyone thinks they know me."
– "I started as a teeny bopper" and "then I was thrown into some dramatic roles." 19659002] – Have a terrible fear of heights. [19659002
Our guess: We're still pretty sure it's Donny Osmond, and the clues still seem to fit.
Judges Share Their Hearts
The heart carried a cover of Florida Georgia Line's "Get Your Shine On" and sounds a lot of land with its voice.
All about the performance the panel had guessed that he is an athlete (because he is).
Joel guessed it is Brett Favre (after saying it was the best performance he has ever seen from a deer in a gas mask) while Robin added that it could be Ben Roethlisberger.
Nicole made us smile when she guessed it could be Terry Bradshaw. Frankly, it may be the first time the panel guesses correctly (if that's right, that's it).
The deer also gave us a few clues explaining that he "started in tracks and field" and then made another reference to working with horses.
The Deer – New Clues
-Such previous losses made him feel like he was "out of his game."
– Says he used to do business for things.
– Deer says he is good at throwing things and referring to football past.
– In his fake commercial, he has more sports trophy on the desk.
It still looks like Terry Bradshaw to us!
Panel Wild Guesses
The lion killed it with a fantastic performance by Nina Simone's "Feeling Good", which only made guessing its identity harder.
Jenny says she should be a professional singer who finally proposes Kelly Rowland. Nicole disagrees and thinks the camp sounds like an actress who can sing.
Joel says she looked like "a sexy belt buckle" and later suggests it could be Emily Blunt for some reason.
Robin says the sound sounds "spicy" or "older".
Nicole says it could be Hailey Baldwin because of the newspaper headline in the clue package.
Finally she gives us a final track: When asked if she has a platinum album, Leo says she doesn't have "any platinum or gold on my walls … yet."
The Lion – New Clues!
– Activity characters (such as #CageFree and #FreePride). Is she a political activist ?!
– Football of women's voting protests.
– "I say my pride:" You must be strong and stand up for what you believe in. ""
-Holded up a newspaper headed "Gold Found in Hailey"
Joel McHale is already the best
Joel's first word on the panel is perfect for summarizing everything we feel about this show: "I already feel like I'm on drugs."
The lion, the deer, the peacock, the unicorn and the monster all stand together!
We I have our line-up, we have our special judge and we are out driving this week's hours of detective work!
New tracks in the store?
With only 10 singers back on the show (and the format The Masked Singer is a bit bizarre), it's hard to tell what to expect.
More face to face fighting? More clues? Perhaps more than one pr. Episode? It's actually exciting just to see how the format of the show develops as more and more masks come out!
