The Cyberpunk 2077 OnePlus 8T edition is amazing

OnePlus has teamed up with the upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 to create a version of the OnePlus 8T that appears to have been pulled directly from the game. The special edition handset will be available in limited numbers and will only be for sale on the Chinese mainland, so we were very excited to grab a model to unpack and photograph ourselves.

Physically, the phone is largely unchanged compared to the regular OnePlus 8T. It̵

7;s a phone we gave one excellent score to in our full review thanks to its excellent performance, fast charging and 120Hz display. All of these features are available on the Cyberpunk edition, but they are all wrapped up in this amazing body.

The back of the phone combines a glossy glass back that appears to be sandblasted to give a frosted effect resembling a carbon fiber.

You’ll find the Cyberpunk logo etched in flaming neon yellow on the bottom of the phone as well as yellow stripes around the bottom edge of the phone. It definitely stands out.

The 6.55-inch screen is unchanged, so the phone feels no different to hold than the regular 8T. But with such an amazing design, you’re unlikely to hide one inside a case – be extra careful if you carry it outside!

As part of the special edition package, the phone comes with these pin badges. I have not played Cyberpunk yet, nor am I familiar with the game’s history, so “Valentinos” and “The Mox” do not mean much to me. I think Night City is the main place where the game is set.

The phone runs a China-specific version of OnePlus’ software that has received a Cyberpunk overhaul with cool new icons and backgrounds.

The phone looks really great and I personally think it’s a shame that it will only be available in China. It would definitely be on my wish list if a global edition were sold.
