Seven people are in custody after "The Bean" and other structures were vandalized on Tuesday in the Millennium and Maggie Daley Parks.
The group allegedly sprayed painted city dwellings around midnight on Tuesday in 200 and 300 blocks of East Randolph Street, Chicago police said. "The Bean", the monument of Anish Kapoor formally known as "Cloud Gate", could be seen with the words "35th Crew" painted in white over its surface.
Additional graffiti was also placed on the cancer survival wall of Maggie Daley Park, the authorities said.
The charges are waiting for the seven people arrested in connection with vandalism, police said.
