Officials are working to find out what led to McDonald’s killing his children.
“We may not ever know why, because there is no definition or reason that will ever justify the murder of two young children,” Reeves said.
McDonald was detained in Irving Prison without any bond. Prison records do not show a McDonald’s lawyer who could comment on the allegations.
Reeves said police had previously been at McDonald’s apartment but that he could not provide details because of the nature of the calls “and the privacy required of them.”
