Electrek's Jamie Dow just struck the eloquent argument that it was OK that nothing was surprising to Tesla's Model Y disclosure last night, even though people are expecting a "more" thing.
But Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that "there was something but nobody caught it" – it's rumored to be the electric Tesla Pickup.
As Jamie explained, it actually makes sense that Tesla focused on what led to Model Y at the event last night instead of hyped another product.
It sounds like there was actually something, but we all look like it
Musk tweeted in response to someone who highlighted the fact that there was no "one more thing":
There was something but no one got it

The CEO did not elaborate on what was missed. What could it be?
After the presentation ended, the lights went off for a second, and rumors are that Tesla flashed a picture of the electric pickup on the main screen, but it is unclear if anyone has actually seen It and it seems that no one took a picture.
After the presentation, I quickly entered the press room to begin making an article on Model Y specifications and designs.
I didn't see anything, but when I came out, many people came to tell me the story.
Having said that, I asked them all if they actually saw it, and they all said they just heard it from someone else.
So it could just be a wild rumor that spread through the event or it could actually be true, but only a handful of people saw it and no one got a picture.
At least Elon confirmed that there was something more, but if we all missed it, what's the point?
Come Tesla! Give us another shot, thank you!
