TAIPEI (Taiwan News) Agriculture (COA) has announced that will hold a press conference on February 15 to announce that African swine fever (ASF) virus has been discovered in pork products from the nations of Vietnam.

The worrying message is a very likely indicator that the ASF epidemic in China has crossed the southern border to Vietnam, forcing Taiwan to increase the control of travelers from the Southeast Asian country.

Another concern for the COA is that the contaminated meat products were discovered by the Taiwanese authorities and that there has been no official announcement or warning issued by the Vietnamese Government.

According to Liberty Times, COA has tested samples of pork products from foreign countries since late August 201

8. Of 1,158 samples, 928 products have completed the inspection. So far, 20 attempts have been found to be contaminated with ASF, all of which came from China.

But for the first time on February 15, a tested sample from nearby Vietnam was discovered to contain the ASF virus. 19659008] (function (d, s, id) {
