Super Mario 3D All-Stars launches with a Day-One update

Like them or not, day-to-day updates have become standard practice for many major video game releases in recent years. Even Nintendo’s 3-in-1 anniversary collection Super Mario 3D All-Stars will ask users to update it when it launches this Friday.

This information comes via GoNintendo, which also notes how this patch supports the game up to version 1.0.1:

“We are not quite sure what the update will do as patch notes are not yet shared. We know that it’s up to version 1.0.1 of the game.”

While you can probably play the game right out of the box, you will still probably want to update to this latest version. Our guess is that there are some small bug fixes here and there to improve the overall experience a bit.

In other words, do not expect this to patch up Super Mario Galaxy 2 ̵

1; even if we’re all for it (if you read, Nintendo).
