We are less than a month away from the premiere of Stranger Things Season 3, which debuts on July 4 as part of the Netflix genius scheme to keep everyone in the US glued to their TV & # 39 instead, this Independence Day is about to be tanned.
In front of the show's return, Netflix has released a new Stranger Things Season 3 trailer that gives us an even better look at the threat to Mike, Eleven and the rest of the Hawkins band in the new eight-episode third season.
See the new trailer below:
It looks as if the monster in Stranger Things Season 3 is again an extension of Mind Flayer who had Will in Season 2 ̵
The trailer shows a horde of rats scurrying towards the abandoned Brimborn Steelworks factory, converging near a shady unit that Will points out, "He wants to relate to someone again, a new host." We then cut a shot of Max's fierce big brother, Billy (Dacre Montgomery), and then to a shot of the other's eyes, apparently being overtaken by crawling black blood vessels. Is Billy Mind Flayer's next goal, or is it a misdirect to throw us off the scent?
We also hear the monster speaking – lay out his plans for the first time in an appropriately scary way: "You let us in and now let us stay," whispers someone with a certain unnatural echo in their voice. "Now is the time. We have to finish you, we have to end up with your friends so we'll end up with everyone." So, the typical world domination, then?
Teaser again has new cast members Cary Elwes (Hawkins Mayor Kline), Jake Busey (newspaper reporter Bruce) and Maya Hawke (Robin, Steve & # 39; s colleague at Scoops Ahoy), and has a somewhat sci-fi tone compared to with the earlier seasons, between the glowing green goo that Steve and Dustin find, the masked men in hazmat suits and the strange electric currents that apparently affect Hawkins. But there is also a little Jurassic Park flavor in the teaser too, especially when the kids are huddled in the Starcourt Mall, apparently hiding from a creeping, threatening threat we cannot see. (They would probably prefer a velociraptor.)
