A caller decided to declare that Carmelo Anthony is the one who can save the New York Knicks. Stephen Smith threw him apart.
At the Stephen A. Smith show, Smith took calls and hoped to generate a discussion about NBA's free agency. Someone had the balls to call Smith to remind him that Carmelo Anthony is still a free agent and can very well save Knicks. Smith had three words to him before ending the call.

Knicks have been labeled as the biggest losers of the summer. In the lottery package they were expected to get the number one together, but they fell to number three. As such, they failed to sail the top spectra of Zion Williamson in the NBA draft. Although they still have RJ Barrett – as some say, are better up than Williamson – people can't help pity on the Knicks. This triggered the desperate Carmelo Anthony mindset.
And on the first free trade day, Knicks was left almost empty-handed. To remember, they were free of Kristaps Porzingis, who gave them enough space for two max slots. Rookies revealed that they were gunning for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. But as it turned out, it was their neighbors – Brooklyn Nets – who got the two players.
The fan probably traveled on the Carmelo Anthony era with Knicks. After all, he had a good move with them when he led the team to three playoff appearances. But Anthony is not the same player he once was – everything knows it for a fact. If anyone can save Knicks, it certainly won't be Anthony – even if they sign him.
