Stardew Valley is the game that just keeps on giving. Since its release in 2016, it has seen more than its fair share of generous updates. However, there are still small things you can improve here and there. Thanks to a mod from Shekurika, part of the game just got a little easier to play: fishing. If you use it, you can see the fish underwater.
Normally i Stardew Valley, you cast your line on the open water of the open disc. Unlike similar games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can not see shadows of fish or even a disturbance on the water surface. Often you will need to shed your lure a few places before getting a bite. This mod changes the game so you can see all the fish sprites spawn in the water. That way, you know exactly where to place your lure if you are looking for a specific fish to prepare your collection or fill out a recipe.
Courage also adds a few bonus configuration options. If you want, you can adjust how many fish spawn on the map to create more fish. You can also change an option so that the player can also see the game’s other “fishable” objects – like a rusty spoon and spur.
The mod is currently published on Nexus Mods – and due to a recent policy change on the site, this and all of its other mods are permanently stored online. So if this works as a feature you would like, you have all the time in the world to get hold of it.
