SNK did an impressive job of converting Chris’ classic moveset to 3D in The King of Fighters 15 compared to his last appearance 20 years ago

After failing to impress fans with the visuals from their first modern attempt at a modern HD 3D game with The King of Fighters 14, SNK seems to have taken the criticism to heart to make their next title

These improvements shine most so far on the characters we haven’t seen in many years, and Chris ’reveal in the past week certainly continues that trend.

Fighting game content creator Orpheus recently released a new video comparing Chris̵

7; KOF15 redesign side by side alongside his previous incarnation in KOF 2002.

It immediately becomes clear that SNK was able to recreate almost all the magic of Chris’ pixel-shaped shape down to pretty much the exact frame – sometimes even with more visual glare than before.

His magnificent offer retains their after-image effect, albeit with a slightly different look, and looks like it may be faster than it previously was.

The trailer also shows that his dreaded CD kick is back again, though we will have to wait and see if it gets as scary as it was in the older games.

You can check out the full Chris comparison video below. Orpheus has previously released similar side-by-side features for its Team Orochi bandmates from Shermie and Yashiro as well, so give them a watch if you want a deeper look at how the Heavenly Kings have made the transition to the HD era.
