Sledgehammer Games develops Call of Duty 2021 ‘built for next generation’

Call of Duty’s engine differences between the studios have come into the spotlight, as Warzone is at the center of the franchise.

When Call of Duty: Warzone was first launched, it was developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software in a partnership to become the battle king of Modern Warfare.

With the game launched free to play, it gets its own life in terms of success. And Activision wants to integrate Warzone with their premium releases to give players a hassle-free Call of Duty experience.

However, the launch of Black Ops Cold War brought some challenges. The Cold War is built on Treyarch’s own engine, which differs in style, appearance and feel of the Warzone. The integration of the Cold War weapons was a difficult period, as balancing problems stand out, among other things.

Now, in a new interview with VentureBeat, Activision̵

7;s president has acknowledged that this is something they want to avoid in the future.

He says the teams have been “Particularly focused on it.”

Kostich says one of the “most important concepts” for their team is “To ensure that we limit any friction for our society as we move forward.

“As we move forward” that is the key. Warzone’s success combined with the Cold War’s development time resulted in differences in engine and gaming feel. But in the future, this problem should not occur per. Kostich.

“What it means behind the scenes is to ensure that everything from a technological perspective feels all – free for the player. It’s a big focus for us as we move forward, so when you switch from one experience to the next, when new weapons come in and out of the game, it feels like a solid, continuous gaming experience evolving into the future. ”

Kostich states that the internal teams are now collaborating more than ever before. These features and improvements are coming “From our development team working together to make it happen – when you switch in and out of Warzone or a first-class experience in the future, it’s hassle-free for our community. It has been another passionate point for our team to ensure that we can provide the best possible experience for our fans as we move forward. ”

There are already rumors of the Call of Duty game in 2021 to be developed by Sledgehammer Games. The title is rumored to be called ‘Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard.’ But the important aspect here is that recent rumors say that the game runs on Infinity Ward’s engine, which means it’s the same engine as Warzone.

If this is the case, there will be no friction between the experiences as the players move between the two games.
