Middleborough police and state troops are searching for a man wearing military-style equipment after a shooting Friday morning inside a Massachusetts Department of Transportation public workshop. Police said the search unfolded in the woods near 201 West Grove St., which is Route 28. Four to five shots were fired inside the facility, but officials said no injuries were reported. Police said the incident was first reported around 1 p.m. 9.05, and a man wearing fatigue fled into the woods west of Route 28. The road is closed in both directions, MassDOT said.
