See a Vega Rocket Launch an Italian Earth Observing Satellite!



An Italian Earth observation satellite will go to heaven tonight (March 21) and you can see the action live.

The PRISMA spacecraft is scheduled to launch on a Arianespace Vega rocket from Kourou, French Guiana, at 9:50 am EDT (0150 GMT on March 22).

PRISMA, whose name is short for "Precursore Iperspetraal della Missione Applicativa," will be run by Italy's national space agency. The satellite will create low ground shop and make observations that aid management, environmental monitoring and other areas of Arianespace representatives have said.
