SE: ‘One Shining Moment’ on CBS after Baylor wins NCAA Tournament title to cover a big March Madness

The most famous annual montage in sports is back. Emotions, slow motion shots, drama, that voice.

You can not deny it.

You love “One Shining Moment.”

We have had to wait two years for many things. Elections Sunday. An NCAA tournament. A Final Four and national championship match. These magical moments that fill three weeks in March and the first few days in April.

And the 2021 version here celebrates Baylor’s first national title, the memorable summer beater of Gonzaga’s Jalen Suggs and even a picture of the Grand Canyon̵

7;s Oscar Frayer who died in a car accident a few days after playing in the NCAA tournament.

The final piece is the last thing to air on CBS after the championship: the “One Shining Moment” video that encapsulates the story of the NCAA tournament. Here it is for you in its entirety. Produced by CBS ‘Alanna Campbell, “One Shining Moment” features at least one shot of every single game, and therefore every single team that played in Big21 in 2021.

It’s a shot in time, an illustration of all the joy, heartache, excitement, drama and indelible images this amazing event creates.

From the first tip on March 15 (Mount St. Mary’s vs. Texas Southern) to the last Monday night in Baylor’s 86-70 victory vs. Gonzaga for ruining Zags’ bid for an unbeaten season, we’re all grateful for the (safe) return of the NCAA Tournament after two years away.
