Riverside County seniors 65 and older and more important workers can get Covid-19 vaccines on Thursday

In Riverside County, people 65 and older can start getting their coronavirus vaccine on Thursday along with adults of all ages if they work in education, law enforcement, food and agriculture and emergency services.

This group constitutes Phase 1B of the county vaccine distribution framework. People at all levels of stage 1A can also be vaccinated.

  • For employees in phases 1A and 1B – level 1, an agreement and employee ID badge / letter from the workplace are required, otherwise you will not be vaccinated
  • For those 65 and over, an agreement and ID are required.

Vaccines are only given to those who made appointments in advance. You can find the latest information on vaccination distribution, including locations and how to sign up ruhealth.org/covid-1

The clinics will provide vaccines for free, however you must be registered before arrival and show proof of eligibility (badge, business identification, proof of employer).

Medical insurance information will be requested.

A clinic opened Sunday, Jan. 17 at Indio Fairgrounds. This location will be a walk-up clinic. You still need to register to be vaccinated.
