The happy couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary, and Wilson marked the occasion with a sweet message shared on social media, accompanied by a throwback image from one of the couple̵
The 64-year-old actress wrote in the caption: ’33 years of marriage to my BFF, my boyfriend, my husband. Love wins. ‘

In the shot, Wilson was seen in a beautiful white lace dress with her blonde hair tied back in a bun.
Her 64-year-old husband kept it simple in a white shirt with button.
Wilson and Hanks first met in 1981 on the set of the sitcom Bosom Buddies, starring the Saving Private Ryan actor.

They continued to share the screen four years later in the comedy film Volunteers, and their relationship blossomed as they filmed the flip together.
Although their connection was strong, the actress was married to his first wife and college girlfriend, Samantha Lewes, at the time.
The former couple shared a son named Colin, 43, and a daughter named Elizabeth, 38.

Hanks and Wilson went public with their relationship five years after they originally met, although the actor was still married to his first wife, whom he would later divorce in 1987.
A year after the actor’s original union dissolved, the new couple tied the knot and have been close ever since.
The artists welcomed two sons named Chet, 30, and Truman Theodore, 25.
In the first months of 2020, the couple made headlines by announcing that they had received COVID-19, and they later donated blood samples to be used for medical research.

After recovering from the effects of the virus, Wilson spoke to The Guardian and told the media she was happy to have her husband by her side when they got together.
‘I think having the virus at the same time made it a little easier … We took care of each other instead of having pressure to take care of someone,’ she recalled.
The actress also noted that she and her husband were able to empathize with each other during their fight against COVID-19, which she was happy to have been able to do.
‘We were lucky that we were in a place where we understood what the other was going through,’ she said.
