Linebacker Kyle Van Noy signed a four-year deal with the Dolphins last year, but he reportedly will not reach the second year of this pact.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the dolphins have informed Van Noy that they will release him. Van Noy’s contract requires his $ 12.5 million base salary to be guaranteed on March 20.
Van Noy was slated to count $ 13.9 million toward the ceiling. The dolphins get $ 9.775 million back from this space by divorcing him.
Van Noy had 69 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recovery in 14 games for Miami last season.
