Rebel Wilson reveals she was once kidnapped during gunfire in Africa

Rebel Wilson revealed that she was once kidnapped under gun.

The actor, who has documented his weight loss journey throughout the year, appeared in an episode of the series “Straight Talking” for Sky One. The show takes celebrities and puts them through an interview with former Royal Marines Commando Ant Middleton.

Under Wilson’s appearance, Middleton asked her about the moment in her life when she experienced the most fear.

“There was a time in Africa where I was kidnapped,” the actor revealed “Pitch Perfect” (via Sky News).

“Yes, with the big guns, and was like, ‘you’ll have to get off your truck,'” she explained. “They took us to this house in the middle of nowhere.”

The star surprised herself, noting that she was “good in a crisis” and eventually became her group’s “team leader” in dealing with the kidnappers.

“They put us down. I said, ‘Everyone joins arms. “I’m petrified at night, they might want to take one of the girls or something,” she said. “Fortunately, we were not injured.”

Confusingly, Wilson and her friends were simply allowed to leave the kidnappers the following day despite being kept under fire all night.

“The next day they came and said, ‘Oh, your truck is ready now, you can go – go, go,’ you know,” she said. “So we just asked no questions, we got back on that truck and just got out of there and then crossed the South African border a few hours later.”

Since the disturbing incident, the star believes she has found out why they were allowed to leave unharmed.

“I think maybe these guys used us to smuggle illegal things into the bottom of the truck,” she theorized.
