Pokémon Go celebrates Charmander again with yet another community day.
The event takes place on October 17 from kl. 11 to kl. 17 at your local time.
As usual with Community Day events, Charmander will spawn in abundance during the six-hour period with a high chance of appearing shiny.
How do I get a shiny Charmander?
As Charmander pops up everywhere, just tap on every Charmander you see until you get a shiny one. You’ll find one sooner or later as the shiny rate on community days increases to about one in 24.
What special feature does Charizard teach?
When developed from kl. 11 to kl. 19 in your local time on October 17, Charizard will learn Dragon Breath. Dragon Breath does not do much for Charizard, but it does very well on its Mega Evolved forms.
How do I get the most out of this community day?
Stardust gained by capturing Pokémon during the event period will triple, so if you have any Star Pieces, consider using them before going on a Charmander-capturing rampage. Completion of field research and timed research will also reward Charizard Mega Energy.
Regular Charizard’s best moveset for raiding and gyms is Fire Spin and the legacy moves, Blast Burn. But if you are planning to Mega Evolving your Charizard, you need to develop it during the event to get it Dragon Breath. Pair it with Dragon Claw to do a lot of damage.
If you decide which Shiny Charmander to develop at the end of the day, try using one of the new search strings. Sort your ‘mons by’recent“Using the icon at the bottom right, then type”4 *“In the search box at the top. This will notify you if you have any 100% IV Charmander. Most people will not be so lucky, so next time you will write “3 *In the search box that shows you the latest ‘mons’ that are 80% or more. Rate these to see which one is best, and then develop your new friend!
