Pelosi’s office released a scornful “help wanted” ad as talks to remove Cheney from leadership escalate amid GOP frustrations with her anti-Trump stance.

“The word is out that House GOP leaders want to push rep. Liz Cheney from her position as House Republican Conference Chair – their oldest woman in GOP leadership – for a group of very Republican reasons: she does not lie, she is not humble enough she is like a girlfriend rooted in the wrong teams and more, ”reads the ad, citing previous media reports of male Republican criticism of Cheney.

“So what exactly are House GOP leaders looking for in No. 3? “Punchbowl AM got the scoop, and that’s not surprising … they want a woman who is not a ‘threat’ to them,” the statement continued.

McCarthy said “Fox & Friends“Tuesday that members of the council committee are ‘concerned’ about Cheney’s ability to carry out his role as conference chair.

“There is no concern about how she voted on the charge. This decision has been made. “I have heard from concerned members about her ability to do the job as a conference chair – to carry out the message,” he said.

Allies of McCarthy have promised to remove her from her position, and a GOP legislator has said that the frustrations have reached a “boiling point. ”
