Lucerne County has had four deaths from COVID-19 this week, County Chief David Pedri said Friday, adding he is concerned about the amount of new COVID-19 cases in the county.
“With everything going on, I just want to remind people that we are not out of this COVID battle,” Pedri said.
The state Department of Health on Friday reported a further 44 cases of COVID-19 in Lucerne County. According to the data, the county has a total of 4,594 cases with 190 deaths.

- A woman, 92, died at a nursing home Sunday.
- A man, 72, died at a nursing home Tuesday.
- A woman, 77, died at a hospital Tuesday.
- A man, 83, died at a nursing home Friday.
The State Department of Health on Thursday reported a further 54 cases of COVID-19 in Lucerne County. It was the most additional cases reported in a single day since 61 additional cases were reported on May 9th.
The department reported a total of 289 additional cases in the county since Oct. 10 – an average daily increase of 41.3. Total from the previous week was 165 and the daily average was 23.6.
The Ministry of Health on Friday reported a further 1,566 cases and 25 new deaths across the country for a total of 179,086 cases and 8,457 total deaths attributed to COVID-19.
