In 2019, Nintendo launched Tetris 99 as a free Battle Royale game for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers before trying Super Mario Bros. 35 temporarily and now it follows these games up with Pac-Man 99.
Available exclusively at the contact for people with the online subscription, and the game allows players to eat Power Pellets to make ghosts as vulnerable as you would expect in a Pac-Man title. When players eat the vulnerable ghosts, the ghosts become a Jammer Pac-Man who chases opponents and slows them down. According to the rules of Battle Royale, players fall one by one until the field is won down from the 99 original players to a winner.
The base game is available at no extra cost to subscribers, while optional DLC adds CPU mode, time attacks, and various custom themes, some of the themes referring to classic Bandai games. Themes are available for $ 2 each, while players can purchase the extra modes in a $ 1
Pac-Man 99 will be launched on Switch tomorrow, April 7 at 21:00 ET. Switch Online subscribers can pre-load it now by going to the Nintendo website so they are ready when the servers open.
