A few months after OtterBox gave Echo Dot and Baby Yoda facelift last year, Amazon revealed a complete redesign of the smart speaker, makes it rounder to push better speakers inside. So OtterBox is back with another Grogu-themed stand for fourth-generation Echo Dot, but this time, the baby does not look so cute.
Admittedly OtterBox’s first Baby Yoda smart speaker base made the demanding stranger look like he was the victim of a vengeful Sith (or clumsy Jedi) who accidentally hit the top of his head with a lightsaber, leaving mostly just Grogu’s green pointed ears behind.
But we are not sure that the child is doing much better this time, for when the fourthgeneration Amazon Echo Dot is paired with OtterBox’s new stand, Grogu looks less like an infant and more like a middle-aged alien who has not yet figured out how to use Force to fight a sharply declining hairline.
However, if it’s an aesthetic that works for you, it’s a $ 25 smart speaker stand now available on Amazon to help your May the fourth festivities be like happy as possible – just as the Jedi wanted.
