OnePlus 7 Pro teardown reveals several secrets, good and bad

OnePlus 7 Pro will be the company's major venture in 2019, but like Samsung's Galaxy Fold and Honor's 20 Pro, things look a bit about being questionable for the flagship killer. In addition to claims about its camera quality and telephoto lens, the smartphone is reported to have problems with the screen. JerryRigEverything pulls down OnePlus 7 Pro to see if there's anything else the company doesn't say properly.

The semi-teardown YouTuber did to create a clear glass back to the phone already showed how a little difficult would be to open the unit in the first place. The good news is that once the back is removed without incident, almost everything else is relatively easy to separate. Even the battery is easy to pull out, a rarity among modern smartphones.

The bad news is that you will have to go through everything that is needed to replace the slightly broken part: the USB-C port. This means that repair of the part that is fortunately modular has a high risk factor. On the front they show seals, including rubber bands around the gate and even the motorized elevating camera, how waterproof the phone is, even without a formal IP rating.

OnePlus announced OnePlus 7 Pro to get an advanced cooling system that is today's phone word among powerful phones. Zack Nelson sacrificed his woul favorite new phone only to get away disappointed. There does not seem to be any 1

0-layer liquid cooling, but only a regular heat pump, some copper plates and thermal paste inside.

Interestingly, the 90 Hz AMOLED screen on OnePlus 7 Pro is not actually the glue to the glass and is a separate and flexible component. OnePlus doesn't mention this bit of interesting technical trivia, perhaps to be worried that people will be too emboldened to dismiss the phone too easily and break the glass anyway.
