Omaha Public Power District to provide updates on storm outages

OPPD planned a press conference at 16 Saturday to discuss storm surges. OPPD says 85,000 customers have had power restored, and at the time of the press conference, 97,000 customers are still without power. Officers say areas with many trees are the most difficult to restore. People without power must be prepared for possibly several days without power. The OPPD says they believe two-thirds of people should have power back by midnight, but more storms tonight could slow progress. You can watch the recorded live stream on the KETV Facebook page.
