50-400mm f / 4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO
Olympus develops a new M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm f / 4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO lens that does it possible to record super telephones with handheld recordings.
The super telephoto lens has a built-in 1.25x teleconverter – the first of its kind in an Olympus lens – giving the lens a 35mm equivalent range of 300-1000 mm. By adding an extra 2x teleconverter, the photographers can shoot 35mm corresponding to 2000mm handheld.
The lens is dust-proof, spray-proof and free-cover (14 ° F / -10 ° C) and has lens image stabilization that can work with Olympus' 5-axis stability in the body.
"The compact system delivers remarkable portability and the built-in teleconverter provides convenience, making it the ultimate super telephoto zoom lens for sports and bird photography," says Olympus.
Olympus plans to release the lens sometime in 2020.
M.Zuiko Digital 2x teleconverter MC-20
The upcoming M.Zuiko Digital 2x teleconverter MC-20 will double the focal length of whatever the lens is mounted on it and it is dustproof, splash resistant and friction resistant (14 ° F / -10 ° C).
"This teleconverter not only extends the phone spectrum, but it also doubles the maximum shooting magnification of the master lens for unprecedented super-tele macro recording," says Olympus.
The teleconverter is expected to start sometime in the summer of 2019.
