Wilde plays journalist Kathy Scruggs who covered the event as it unfolded while Hamm is on as an FBI agent examining the attack and its succession. Kathy Bates has also locked an agreement to play Jewell's mother, Bobi.
Eastwood is gearing to shoot the movie this year and Warner Bros. supports it. Wilde, who recently released his director debut Booksmart is a producer on television series Best Seller . Hamm, on TV screens in Good Omens has Lucy In The Sky and Top Gun: Maverick on the way.
