Hurts is probably the most decorated transfer quarterback in college football history, moving on from Alabama after a 26-2 entry starting.
After two seasons as the starter in Alabama, Hurts was reduced to backup fault last year after Tua Tagovailoa took over in that title game and then beat Hurts off the job last year.
"I think I'm clever, I'm better, stronger for everything that took courses last year and over the last three years, Siger Hurts." I know clearly that I obviously didn't get snaps. I had limited time. But I'm in a new place now, new opportunity.
"I think it's another team on the same mission."
He won't make Oklahoma an exact copy of Alabama.
"This is another place," says Hurts. "You think of coaches, an older coach in coach Saban, a younger coach in coach (Lincoln) Riley. But they are both good, dang good coaches. They both will have nothing but playing. We have an expectation that Do what we have to do in Oklahoma. Riley insists that Hurts is in a quarterback derby, fighting Tanner Mordecai and Tanner Schafer for the job, just as he insisted last year that Murray and Austin Kendall were neck and neck.
