Three northern Alabama school systems have announced closures due to widespread flu-like symptoms.
Boaz City Schools are closed Monday and Tuesday. More than 10 percent of Boaz students were absent today, school officials said.
"In recent weeks, Boaz City Schools have monitored and evaluated our absences daily and have taken all necessary measures to minimize illness," officials said in a statement.
Marshall County Schools will also close Monday and Tuesday, reported AL.com news partner WHNT News-19.
Albertville City Schools, which were closed today, have also canceled Monday courses.
