PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – According to reports, the NFL Players Association warns of a lockout that could be on its way.
According to Sports Business Journal's Liz Mullen, the Players Association sent an email to all NFL agents telling them to prepare their players for a lockout that can last a year or more.
"NFLPA Exec Dir De Smith sent an email to all NFL agents this morning and advised them to encourage player customers to save money in case of work stoppage.
" We advise players to schedule a minimum stop at a year in length "says the letter."
It is not a guarantee that a lockout would definitely happen, but it could be in the works as the collective agreement signed in 2011 is expired after the 2020 season.
