New PS5 report has PlayStation fans very worried about underpowered console

A new PS5 report has PlayStation fans very worried about the allegedly underpowered console. According to a new report, not only will the PS5 be more expensive than the Xbox Series X, but its lack of power compared to the Xbox console is reportedly causing headaches for developers. More specifically, the console apparently has trouble running games on 4K.

The report comes as industry insiders and leakers Dusk Golem claim that they have heard that not only Microsoft has the more powerful console with Xbox Series X, but the cheaper console. The insider reveals no details about the price of either the next-generation machine, nor does it specify how much cheaper the Xbox Series X will be, but they warn PlayStation fans need to prepare for this news.

“People need to be ready for the right opportunity for the PS5 to end up being the more expensive console between the two,”

; the leak said on Twitter. “I’m not trying to say much here when I was asked not to prepare myself.

The leak continued to note that the PS5 is struggling with 4K gaming, which could result in a lot of “fake” 4K on the console:

“This puts the Xbox Series X in a position where it will be the cheaper and more powerful console I used Resident Evil 8 as an example, but I have heard from other developers that the PS5 is struggling especially with 4k games, so you will see a lot of fake 4k. It does not matter to some, but also get ready for it. Xbox Series X does not have the same problem. “

Unfortunately, this is where the report ends. That said, Dusk Golem later clarified that this is simply what they have heard anecdotally while talking to developers. In other words, take it all with a grain of salt. Nothing here is official information and even if it is correct, it can also be changed. Further, for all we know, it is obsolete.

At the time of publication, Sony has not commented on this latest report on its console and it is unlikely that will happen. Rarely does the PlayStation manufacturer comment on rumors and reports about this variety.

PlayStation 5 is scheduled to release sometime this holiday season. There are currently no words for a price point.
