Travel + Leisure reports the same company that operates luxury glass-dome trains in western Canada, Rocky Mountaineer, plans to start a new route from Denver to Moab in early August 2021. The route, called the Rockies to Red Rocks, lasts two days with a night at a hotel in Glenwood Springs.
The train ride focuses on stunning views in glass-domed trains with outdoor viewing decks, gourmet restaurant and outstanding service, while passing on the sleeping arrangements – leaving it to the Glenwood Springs hotel.
“Rocky Mountaineer will bring a new luxury train ride to explore the historic railroad route between Denver and Moab. Over the past 30 years, Rocky Mountaineer has become known for our world-class train travel experience, and now we are opening our latest train experience in the region where train travel history began, ”said Peter Armstrong, founder of Rocky Mountaineer. “This region with its magnificent scenery, national parks, great opportunities to explore will delight millions.”

The two-day tour starts at $ 1,250 per person. Person, and there appear to be two travel classes for existing trains in the Rocky Mountaineer route: Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf. It is not clear from the website whether both will be available on the new route. Rocky Mountaneer currently runs three routes in western Canada between Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies cities of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.
